A young man accused of money laundering has been sent forward for trial after the book of evidence was served on him at Swords District Court.
Michael Ibrahim, 21, of Taylor Hill Court, Balbriggan, is charged with possessing, handling, acquiring or transferring property alleged to be the proceeds of crime.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place at his home in Balbriggan on February 19, 2024.
The court heard that gardaí allegedly recovered a number of high-value items during a search of the property, including multiple mobile phones, a sum of cash, clothing, an electric scooter and a number of computers.
The estimated value of the alleged proceeds of crime was put at €5,000.
A state solicitor told the court that the book of evidence was ready and had been served on the accused, who was sent forward to the next sittings of Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Judge Stephanie Coggans gave Mr Ibrahim the formal alibi caution.
The judge also assigned defence solicitor Fiona D'Arcy and one junior counsel on free legal aid.
The court further ordered that a video copy of a garda interview with the accused be furnished to his legal team.
Mr Ibrahim, who has not yet indicated a plea, was remanded on the same bail terms to appear before a court at the Criminal Courts of Justice in May.
