About Tony
Tony Collier is a partner at Ferrys Solicitors LLP and a criminal defence solicitor practising across the full range of Irish criminal courts, from first appearances in the District Court to trials in the Central Criminal Court and the Special Criminal Court.
He joined Ferrys Solicitors LLP in 2020, bringing extensive experience from his own Dublin practice, and has been involved in defending some of the biggest cases in the history of the Irish State. His work has contributed to the greater protection of the rights of people detained, charged and tried for criminal offences.
Alongside his practice, Tony contributes to the training of the profession itself. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland’s Education Faculty, which delivers education and continuing training to solicitors in Ireland, and of the Criminal Law Committee of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association. He writes on criminal and prison law and is called on for comment on developments in Irish criminal justice.
